Combine two or more PDFs into a single document in the order you choose. Everything happens on our servers and the merged file is ready to download in seconds.
Combine PDF files into one document in the order you choose. Merging joins pages; it does not automatically make the result smaller. Review the page order, remove anything unnecessary, then compress the combined file if you need to meet an upload limit.
Merging copies the pages of each PDF, in the order you list them, into one new document. The pages themselves are not re-rendered or re-compressed: text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution, so the merged file looks exactly like the originals placed back to back.
Because nothing is converted, the merged file is roughly the sum of the input sizes. If the result is too large to email, run it through Compress PDF afterwards rather than before, so you only compress once.
Typical jobs are combining a scanned passport, a bank statement and an application form into the single file an online portal asks for; joining the chapters of a report written by different people; or assembling invoices for a month into one document for your accountant.
You can combine up to 50 files per job, each up to 100 MB and up to 300 MB in total. Password-protected PDFs have to be unlocked first, because an encrypted file cannot be read without its password.
You can merge as many files as you like in one job, as long as the combined size stays under our upload limit.
Yes — pages are merged in the exact order the files are listed before you click Merge.
Everything drawn on the pages is carried over, and links to websites keep working. Bookmarks (the outline panel) are not combined into the new file, and links that jumped to another page inside one of the original files may no longer point to the right place.
Combine documents in the right order, remove unnecessary pages, then reduce the final PDF size without assuming that merging automatically compresses it.
