Privacy Policy

When you use a Fileixa tool, the file you upload is transferred to our servers so it can be processed — Fileixa runs the conversion, compression, or editing operation server-side, not in your browser. The raw file you upload is always deleted automatically within about one hour, whether or not you were signed in. We do not review, browse, or use the content of your files for any purpose other than producing the result you requested.

What happens to the result afterward depends on whether you were signed in when you ran the job. If you were not signed in (a guest), the result is deleted automatically within about two hours, whether or not it was downloaded. If you were signed in, the result is kept as part of your account's file history (visible on the Files screen in the app) so you can come back to it later, and is only deleted when you remove it yourself or delete your account — deleting your account permanently removes every file it produced, immediately.

AI-assisted tools (for example summarizing, translating, generating a document, or answering questions about a PDF) send the relevant prompt or document text to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the result. That content is transmitted for the purpose of producing your requested output and is subject to that provider's own data-handling terms in addition to ours. If AI-generated output seems harmful, inaccurate, or inappropriate, you can report it directly from the result screen.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and identify your account. If you sign up with an email and password instead, we store your email address and a securely hashed (never plain-text) password, and send you a verification email through our email provider, Resend, to confirm your address. You can optionally add your country and timezone to your profile. We use this information only to operate your account (for example, showing you as signed in, or sending verification and account-related emails) — we do not sell this information or use it for advertising profiling.

Some dashboard features let you save records that persist independently of the automatic file deletion described above — for example saved contacts, team members, workflow presets, signature templates, and business details for invoices. These are stored until you remove them individually or delete your account.

Fileixa uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site — which tools are used, whether a conversion succeeded, and general traffic patterns. We never send file names or file contents to analytics. Analytics cookies are subject to your consent choice: visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent banner and analytics storage defaults to off until you accept; elsewhere, analytics defaults to on and you can decline. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page.

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and device information to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where you consent. Your uploaded files and file names are not sent as advertising data. Learn more at Google advertising policies.

We do not sell your personal data or file contents to third parties. We do not use uploaded file content to train AI models. We do not keep a permanent archive of the files you process.

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — profile information, saved contacts/teams/workflows/signatures, business details, and any files not already auto-deleted — at any time from Settings → Security → Delete account, without contacting support. This takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you'd prefer, or if you have trouble accessing your account, you can also request deletion by contacting us — see the Contact page. We fulfill emailed deletion requests within 30 days after verifying the request comes from the account holder.
